It's that time again…Mother's Day! I have to say, I have mixed feelings about this holiday. When I was a kid, I asked my mother why there wasn't a Happy Children's Day, and she replied, "Everyday is children's day!"
Wasn't really the response I was hoping for and since we didn't get presents every day, I don't think I quite understood what she meant. (Now, of course I do!).
Don't get me wrong... I enjoy the flowers and having a meal cooked for me, and one of my most memorable Mother's Days was when my daughter created a spa menu on a white board and treated me to each and every choice!
But I don't think we - mother-goddesses - should have to wait for one day a year to celebrate who we are and all we do! It's not about getting flowers or chocolates; in fact it isn't about getting something from others. It's about loving and giving to ourselves.
This thought is what sparked The Guilty Pleasures Revolution because when we - mother-goddesses - are taking tender, loving care of ourselves, every day becomes Mother's Day!
